Facilitator’s role

1. Keep the group safe

  • Confidentiality
  • Culture of Honour -Love another. Allow differing opinions (even theology to a point)
  • Manage group dynamic

2. Keep the group working (Assertiveness as a leader)

  • Hub leaders are not there as counsellors and not essentially as teachers or to fix people.  You are there to help keep the group on track towards the aim of the group. Normally that will be processing through aspects of the ‘coat-hanger’ tool.
  • Be led by Holy Spirit. We do value being led by the Holy Spirit and recognise that part of the facilitator’s role is to discern when a deviation from the default plan is actually what God is leading you to do at that time.
