Beatitudes: 8 attitudes Jesus highlights to increase our experience of his blessing in our lives.

Key to happiness: 7 Keep your love on

‘Blessed are the peacemakers, because they will be called sons of God. ‘ Matthew 5:9

To ‘keep your love on’ is talking about doing what is necessary to maintain the connection with those around you. (Rather than promoting disconnection).  See the book by Danny Silk, ‘Keep your love on’.  This link is also helpful in understanding what this phrase means. KEEP YOUR LOVE ON

Peacemakers value the relationship over needing to be right. God offers us the opportunity to be reconciled to him and then to be reconciled to other broken relationships.

  1. What link is there between being reconciled to God and being a child of God?
  2. Does loving peace mean always agreeing with someone? Does it mean sometimes you will do actions that other’s may not like? (Like maintaining boundaries)
  3. God made peace with us through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. How might someone be blessed if they live as a peacemaker?
