Beatitudes: 8 attitudes Jesus highlights to increase our experience of his blessing in our lives.

Key to happiness: 8 Courage / Pursue God no matter the cost

‘Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, because theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil things against you, lying on account of me. Rejoice and be glad, because your reward is great in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets before you. ‘ Matthew 5:10-12

Being a child of God does not mean that you no longer experience suffering or face hardship. It takes courage to be a child of God.  We need to set our hearts to be determined to follow Jesus and pursue him no matter the cost.  This may mean we live without the approval of others that we long for.  When we face emotional, spiritual or any other pressures, we choose to trust God and follow him as a disciple of Jesus Christ.
